  2. Wait, I'm a dork- this is your family blog...in that case, let me reply about the sleeping baby thing. I am sure what we did isn't earth shattering but it worked. We ALWAYS (even when its late) give him a bath, do family scriptures, and then we walk around the house (Dane and I) and turn off all the lights except for one and I talk to him in that really slow whisper voice (you know that one?) and then nurse him one last time, take him to his room and then I rock him for just a minute while I sing to him. (the same song: Love is Spoken Here, remember that one from yester-year?) Then we lay him in his crib- most of the time he just rolls over and goes to sleep but sometimes he cries. We just let him cry- if he works himself into a frenzy then I get him out, sing to him, rock him, and then lay him back in his bed. (I don't know, some people say don't pick him up but its worked for us. Its too hard for me to listen to him cry) Once we got him to go to sleep there were times when he wanted to wake up 5-6 times in the night- I did that for about a week and decided that was for the birds. So, instead of getting up every time and feeding him I would just rock him in the rocking chair (half asleep) until he stopped crying and then put him back in his crib. He figured out there is no reason to get up cause he's not getting any milk. Now when he wakes up in the middle of the night- he gets fed once and other than that we let him cry. He pretty much always goes back to sleep on his own. So, there it is. Yeah, not that great but perhaps it could work. Good luck. This baby stuff is pretty tricky sometimes.
