My boy

is now 6 months old...and growing up FasT...
Today was his 6-mo checkup
and here are the stats:

weight = 16 pounds 3.5 ounces [35%]
length = 26.5 inches [50%]
head circumference = 45 cm [85%]

so....to translate: my baby is a little on the thin side, average height, and has a pretty big noggin'...
haha i love it!
The doctor said that he is doing GREAT and he was also very surprised that Noa could crawl and stand already! I was worried his weight hadn't gone up much from 5 months but the doctor reassured me that it is completely normal for babies around this age to thin out a little. phew! and to hear that Noa is doing as good as he can be was a huge relief!

I love Love LOVE this little boy!

I also have to add these:
I couldn't resist taking these pictures! so precious!
Chad was completely asleep, by the way

a VEGAS weekend

It still amazes me how FAST babies grow and learn to do new things...like learning to SiT....CrAwL.............and yes... StaND!!!!

This weekend we drove down to Vegas to celebrate
Noa's 6 month birthday and my (early) 24th birthday.
We ate lots of delicious food (as always), hung out with family, went to church, saw some friends, watched the Olympics!
....but....We mostly did Noa-stuff
(because our life pretty much revolves around this little guy :D)

We watched him learn to sit up perfectly on his own

and crawl everywhere
- he really just goes and goes and goes! -

and finally - the kicker:
we watched him learn to stand up all on his own.....

still a little wobbly...but i can just see him starting to walk and run around in NO time!

Anyway....we had a great time in Vegas!!!

Here are some more pictures from the weekend:

1/2 Year Mark!

February 21st, 2010
- Noa turned 6-months -

HAPPY 6 month BIRTHDAY, little one!

Noa's accomplishments @ 6 months:

*he can sit up completely, unsupported, by himself*
*he crawls and goes all over the place*
*he eats rice cereal and other solid foods*
*he is starting to pull himself up onto his feet*
*recognizes different faces - sometimes cries with strangers*
*says: "up/op" "mamam" "bahbah"*
*blows air/spit and makes farting noises with his mouth*
*Loves sucking on his toes...fingers...pretty much anything he can get his hands on*
he is still the CUTEST baby in the whole wide world!

We love him SOOO much!!

what would you call this...?

So you know a couple weeks ago, Noa was starting to take the crawling position and rocked back and forth (the video from the previous post)...well just a few days ago he started doing this....

i dont know if you can call that crawling or the so-called "army crawl," yet, but he does get from point A to point B, especially when he knows exactly what he wants.

Also...lately he's been "talking" and saying things like "ooomam..." and "mamama..." ~ He gets a kick out of me getting so excited that he might actually start calling me mama that when i try to get him to repeat it, he just smiles and laughs :D But nonetheless, it is adorable!
